Q How to set a digital input for NC operation?
A Normally the digital input is activated when the input is closed (to DCM for NPN inputs
or to 24V for PNP inputs).
Sometimes it is useful to activate an input when its contact is opened (NC operation),
For instance, when an input is used for EF and the connected switch (or clixon) opens
in case of a fault. In that case, please set Pr04-09.
Example:
MI5 and MI3 need to be NC; MI1, MI2, MI4, MI6 need to be NO. Please refer to the
user manual for Pr04-09:
010100bin = 20dec, therefore set Pr04-09=20.
Q What does fault code AcL mean?
A AcL is the same as CP10. Both indicate that the communication between control
board and power board is abnormal. This can be caused by a bad connection, EMC
or even defect IGBTs.
AcL is detected during power up and initializing and CP10 is detected during normal
operation.
Q What is the max. frequency for a digital input and for the PLC counter?
A The normal counter, such as Pr03-05 and 03-06, has a maximum input frequency of
250Hz (2ms high, 2ms low) acc. to the VFD-E manual but in reality ca. 80Hz.
The hi-speed counter in the PLC uses the signal from the encoder card, it cannot use
normal inputs. In Chapter D.4.6 of the VFD-E manual a single pulse signal the
frequency can be 500 kHz. An encoder with A and B channels. it can be 30kHz (so
n*60*ppr<30kHz where n=shaft rpm).
