CALIBRATION
1) GEN ERAL
• The power supplies are factory cali-
brated and nor mally need no further
cal i bra tion.

METER CAL I BRA TION
• DIG I TAL ME TERS
The zero indication can be calibrated
with R712 and R716, the full scale in di-
cation can be calibrated with R706 and
R708 on P388 (fig. 4 - 23).
3)
SPE CIAL CAL I BRA TIONS
• The fol low ing cal i bra tions must be
done by qual i fied per son nel only.
Wrong cal i bra tion causes mal func tion.
These cal ibrations are only needed af -
ter spe cial re pairs.
Warn ing ! Dam age caused by wrong
cal i bra tion is not war ranted.
• CAL I BRAT ING MAX. CUR RENT
RANGE or CAL IBRATING CC MONI-
TOR FULL SCALE.
The max. out put cur rent can be cali-
brated with R686. R686 is lo cated on
P385, P386 or P387. See fig. 4 - 24.
Program CC in put with exactly 5.00 V.
Set output voltage to a low value, en -
suring the power supply is in CC mode.
Measure the output cur rent with an ac -
curate shunt. Cal ibrate the cur rent with
R686 ex actly on the rated max. cur -
rent.
Warn ing! Wrong calibration can dam -
age the unit.
• CAL I BRAT ING THE CC MON I TOR
OFF SET.
With R652 on P384 the offset of the CC
mon i tor volt age can be cal i brated. See
fig. 4 - 25. The unit has to be un loaded,
the out put voltage set on a low value.
Measure the offset voltage of the CC
mon i tor on the prog. con nec tor. Cal i -
brate the off set on a neg ative value be -
tween –10 mV and zero mV.
Warn ing! wrong cal i bra tion can
damage the unit.
