The Delta Steam Bath Digital Interface (models 5CN-550L, 5CH-550L & 5CB-550L) is a control panel designed to manage a steam bath system, offering both steam and audio functionalities. This interface is pre-configured for landscape orientation but can be adjusted to portrait mode. It features a built-in temperature sensor and must be installed inside the steam room for accurate readings.

Function Description:

The primary function of the device is to control the steam bath experience. Users can initiate steam sessions, adjust temperature, set the duration of the steam, and manage audio playback. The interface connects to a steam generator and, optionally, to an audio speaker system. It supports Wi-Fi connectivity for remote control via the DFC@Home mobile app and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice assistants.

Important Technical Specifications:

Temperature Settings: Minimum 60°F (15.5°C), Maximum 125°F (51.6°C).
Maximum Time Setting: 60 minutes for steam sessions.
Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
Power-on Time: Approximately 60 seconds blank screen before the interface becomes active.
Installation: Requires a 3/4" conduit for the multi-conductor cable from the steam generator. The interface itself is installed inside the steam room, away from direct shower spray and not above the steam head. A watertight seal using silicone (supplied) is crucial during installation, as water damage is not covered by warranty. The steam head should be mounted 12" to 18" above the finished floor or 6" above the tub rim, and as far as possible from the bather and interface.
Compatibility: Functions exclusively with 5GE SteamScape series generators.

Usage Features:

Main Screen: Displays current time, steam status, and audio status.
Power Button: Initiates or ends a steam session.
Steam Settings:
- Temperature Adjustment: Users can set a target temperature for their steam session within the specified range (60°F to 125°F).
- Time Left: Displays the remaining time of an active steam session.
- Duration: Allows users to set the total duration for a steam session, up to 60 minutes.
- Presets: The interface supports user-defined presets, allowing quick access to preferred steam settings. Users can save adjustments made during a session to a preset.
Audio Settings:
- Audio Icon: If an audio speaker system is installed, this icon appears, allowing music playback without starting a steam preset.
- Source Selection: Users can select audio sources (A, B, or Bluetooth).
- Playback Controls: Includes Skip Forward, Pause/Play, and Skip Back for Bluetooth-paired devices.
- Sound Adjustments: Volume, Balance, Bass, and Treble can be adjusted using plus and minus icons.
Main Settings Menu: Accessed via a "gear" icon, this menu provides access to various configuration options:
- Display: Allows adjustment of screen orientation (landscape or portrait).
- Clock: Set time and choose between 12-hour or 24-hour format.
- Devices: View connected devices and their version numbers for troubleshooting.
- Temp Limit: Adjust the maximum allowable steam temperature.
- Inputs: Manage input settings.
- Bluetooth: Enable/disable Bluetooth, view the device's Bluetooth name (e.g., DELTA AUDIO) for pairing with mobile devices.
- Language: Select preferred language (e.g., English).
- Wi-Fi: Connect to a Wi-Fi network, enter passwords, and access advanced settings for granular control.
- Advanced Settings:
  - Pair with Mobile App: Facilitates pairing with the DFC@Home mobile app via QR code or manual code entry.
  - Restart Device: Restarts the interface.
  - System Reset: Resets the interface to factory default settings, deleting all saved settings.
  - Demo Mode: Activates a demonstration mode.
  - Check for Updates: Initiates a firmware update process.
Mobile App Integration (DFC@Home):
- Provides additional functionality, profile and preset customization, and remote access to the steam shower.
- Requires the interface to be connected to Wi-Fi.
- Available on Apple® App Store (iOS) and Google® Play Store (Android).
Voice Assistant Compatibility:
- Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
- Requires an account with the respective service, their mobile app, and a compatible speaker.
- The DFC@Home mobile app guides users through the setup process for voice assistants.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning: The interface should be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Abrasive cleaners that might scratch the surface or base of the interface should not be used.
Firmware Updates: The interface supports firmware updates via Wi-Fi. The display will show "FIRMWARE UPDATE UPDATING" during the process. It is crucial not to press any icons while the update is in progress.
Troubleshooting: The "About" section in the settings menu provides device names and version numbers, which can be useful for troubleshooting communication issues between the interface and other components.
Warranty: The product comes with a limited warranty. Lifetime limited warranty for non-electronic parts of residential steam generators. Two-year limited warranty for electronic parts, controls, spa options, and accessories of residential steam generators. One-year limited warranty for commercial applications. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal installation, use, and service. It does not cover damage from improper installation, misuse, neglect, or unauthorized repairs. Water damage due to improper sealing during installation is explicitly not covered. For warranty claims, users should contact Delta Faucet and obtain an RGA# (Return Goods Authorization number). Proof of purchase (original receipt with date, model, and serial number) is required.
