No-load / light-load Operation Adjustment
8. No-load running
(a) Check the speed regulator ASR, if Pr.11-00=1 is set a ASR auto-tuning gain
(b) Start the motor without load, and operates to 1/2 of rated speed
a. If the start-up direction is wrong, or the starting operation is not smooth (ocA), adjust the
system inertia (Pr.11-01). When the Ke parameter (Pr.05-43) is < 25V, increase the
d-axis current command of I/F mode (Pr.10-31) or switch the frequency point from I/F
mode to PM sensorless mode (Pr.10-39, 10-40).
b. If the start-up direction is correct, but the motor slightly turns in a reverse direction at
starting, adjust the injection magnitude of high-frequency signal wave (Pr.10-52) if the
initial angle is detected by high-frequency injection (Pr.10-53=2); increase the initial
angle detection pulse value (Pr.10-42) if the initial angle is detected by pulse injection
(Pr.10-53=3). Through the above adjustment, you can improve the accuracy of the
initial angle detection.
9. Acceleration test for no-load / light-load operation
A1. Accelerates the motor to the rated frequency, and observe if it operates stably.
a. If a steady-state speed fluctuation occurs to the output frequency, increase ASR2
high-speed bandwidth (Pr.11-04) or system inertia (Pr.11-01).
b. If the output frequency fluctuates substantially or diverges, increase the high-speed gain
(Pr.10-55) or decrease the phase locked loop (PLL) Kp (Pr.10-56).
A2. Accelerates the motor to the maximum frequency, and observe if it operates stably.
If the motor stalls at maximum speed, increase the high-speed gain (Pr.10-55) and carrier
frequency (Pr.00-17), or decrease the phase locked loop (PLL) Kp (Pr.10-56).
