The quality of the picture when playing discs can be adjusted.

switches to A/V
and DVD.

When playing a disc with the function set te DVD, press the
DISPLAY button to turn on the on-screen display, use the and
curser buttons te select "PICTURE MODE", then press the
ENTER button.
The picture quality adjustment screen appears.
The on-screen display alse turns on when the DISPLAY button
is pressed in the step mede.

Use the -91and I_ curser buttons to select the item, then press the ENTER butten.
Standard:
Beth the picture quality and functiens are set back to the standard settings set
upen shipment from the factory.
Anime:
This sets a brighter mere vivid picture quality.
Cinema:
This sets a meilower picture quality.
Memory 1 to 3:
Pictule quality settings you t_ave adjusted can be stoled at thee Illeilloly
positions. (Set at step 3)
Selecting and adjusting the picture quality
Use the -91and I_ curser buttens to select the picture quality item, then use the
and cursor buttens to adjust the value.
All the adjustments are stored in the memory.
Contrast (-6 to +6} (factory default: 0):
This adjusts the contrast between light and dark pertions of the picture.
Brightness (0 to +12) (factory default: 0):
This adjust the brightness (vividness) of the picture.
Color density (-6 to +6) (factory default: 0):
This adjusts the coier density.
Hue (-6 to +6} (factory default: 0}:
This adjusts the balance between green and red. (This setting dees not affect
pregressive scan eutputs.)
._ To complete the picture quality adjustment:
Press the DISPLAY butten again.
NOTE:
Depending on the disc being played, the picture or seund may be disturbed when the en-screen display is displayed. This is not a
malfunction.
