NAME AND FUNCTION OF PARTS
FRONT PANEL
ORA-275A
POWER (Power = ON/STANOBY © OFF Switch)
This switch turns the unit ON or OFF. There 1s a delay of a faw seconds
betore the unit will operate alter his power switchs turned ON, If the unit
1s turned OFF trom the ramote control, the unit will be in the STANDBY
mode. When in the STANDBY mode, the unit can be turned ON with the
power button on the remote control If the Unit will not be used for ax-
tended period, be sure to turn the unit OFF from the front panel power
switch
NOTE: This unit includes a STANDBY protection feature. This feature
1s designed to prevent accidental turn-on Irom the STANDBY
fmode in the event of a power failure. Should AC power be dis-
connected and (then reconnected when the unit is in STAND:
BY mode. the unt will return to the STANDBY mode
To turn the unit ON trom the STANDBY mode without the re-
mote control, operate the front panel power switch Iwice. The
unit will than operate normally
PHONES (Headphones jack)
Connect the headphones to the PHONES jacks.
When listening with headphones privately, set A. 8 SPEAKER switches
40 the OFF position.
NOTE:
To prevent hearing loss, do not raise the volume level excessively when
using headphones.
SPEAKER (Speaker selector switches)
These switches are used 10 engage speaker system A and B.
No sound is heard through the speakers when both switches are set 10
the | I } position,
REMOTE SENSOR (Remote contro! sensor)
This sensor racerves the infra-red tight transmitted from the wireless re-
mote control unit
Fot remote control, point the wireless remote control unit towards the
sensor.
BASS (Bass control)
Use this Controt to adjust the !ow-range response.
When the controls set to the center position, the frequency characteristic
curve (below 1,000 Hz} is flat Turn tne control clockwise to increase the
bass response and counterctockwise 10 decraase it
TREBLE (Treble control)
Use this controt to adjus! the high-range response
When the controls set to tne center position, the frequency characterise

BALANCE (Balance contro!)
Use this control ta balance the volume levels between left and right chan:
nels. The volume tevels in both channets are equal when the control :s set

VARIABLE LOUDNESS (Loudness control)
At low volumes, the human ear 1s less sensitive to low (BASS) and high
(TREBLE) frequencies. Use this control to compensate for this deliciency
when listening at low volume levels, Turn this controt counterclockwise
nut a natural beiance of bass and treble sound has been restored.
MASTER VOLUME (Volume control}
This knob is used to adjust the volume levet of both channels
