Overview

The Depstech® DS450 is an industrial endoscope designed to assist with tasks such as car maintenance and pipeline repair, offering users an efficient tool to explore small, hard-to-reach areas. This device features a 4.5" IPS screen for clear viewing and is available in various configurations, including single and dual camera versions.

Function Description

The primary function of the Depstech® DS450 industrial endoscope is to provide visual inspection in confined or inaccessible spaces. It captures both still photos and video recordings, allowing users to document their findings. The endoscope is equipped with a camera and LED lights to illuminate the inspection area, ensuring clear visibility even in dark environments. The device's screen display serves as the main interface for viewing live footage, navigating menus, and reviewing captured media.

Usage Features

The Depstech® DS450 is designed for user-friendly operation with several intuitive controls:

  • Power On/Off: The device is turned on by holding the power button.
  • Fill Light Control: Users can switch the fill light on or off using a dedicated button, allowing for adjustment of illumination based on the inspection environment.
  • Video Recording: To start a video recording, the user holds a specific button. To end the recording or take a photo, the same button is clicked.
  • Photo Capture: Still photos can be captured by clicking a designated button.
  • Menu Navigation: A "MENU" button provides access to various settings. Within the menu, users can adjust camera lights, move the cursor, or switch between previous and next files in the album using directional buttons.
  • Confirmation: Choices within the menu are confirmed by clicking an "OK" button.
  • Album Access: The album, which stores captured photos and videos, can be opened or closed by holding the "OK" button. A TF card is required for this function.
  • Image Rotation: The image displayed on the screen can be rotated 180° by holding a specific button, which is useful for reorienting the view as needed.
  • Camera Switching (Dual Camera Version Only): For dual camera versions, users can switch between the main and side cameras by holding a dedicated button, offering different perspectives for inspection.
  • TF Card Slot: The device supports TF cards up to 32GB for storing media. Users are advised to format the TF card before its first use.
  • Micro USB Charging Slot: The endoscope is charged via a Micro USB cable.
  • USB Camera Slot: The USB connector of the camera probe plugs into this port, establishing the connection to the screen display.

The device can be used for inspection even while charging, though frequent use in this manner is not recommended as it may negatively impact battery lifespan. To view files on a PC/laptop, the screen display can be connected via a USB-A to micro USB data cable (the one included in the package is recommended). After connecting, users can access the "USB mode" in the device's menu and select "USB Card Reader" to browse files on their computer.

Maintenance Features

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the Depstech® DS450, several maintenance guidelines are provided:

  • Battery Care: The built-in battery should not be replaced by the user to avoid risks of overheating or harm. To extend the endoscope's lifespan, it is recommended to completely discharge the battery and fully recharge it every three months.
  • Storage Conditions: The device should be kept away from fire sources and extreme temperatures (above 158°F/70°C or below 14°F/-10°C). The ideal working temperature range is between 32-113°F (0-45°C).
  • Environmental Protection: Store the endoscope in a dry, clean area, free from oil, water, or chemical liquids. These precautions help maintain the device's lifespan and prevent dangerous situations.
  • Reset Function: If the camera image is not displayed or shows no signal, users should first ensure the USB camera is correctly connected to the screen display. If issues persist, reconnecting the camera and waiting a few seconds may resolve it. As a last resort, shutting down and restarting the endoscope, or using the reset function (via the reset slot and pin), can provide the fastest response to resolve operational glitches.
  • Child Safety: Children should only operate the device under adult guidance and supervision.

The package includes essential accessories such as a TF card, a reset pin, a Micro USB charging cable, and a set of efficiency tools (magnet, hook, and side mirror for single camera versions). A dedicated EVA storage bag is also provided for limited versions to protect the device during storage and transport.
