1.10 Changing transformer
1.10.1 Removing transformer
• Remove cover. (see point 1.2)
• Remove PC board (point 1.5.1)
• Loosen plug connections.
• Loosen cable ties.
• Loosen fixing screws underneath the device.
• Raise the transformer up from the base using a screwdriver.
• Remove transformer.
• Remove remains of adhesive strip with spirit.
1.10.2 Fitting transformer
• Remove protective film from under side of transformer.
• Screw transformer to base of the device.
• Solder transformer connections to the PC board
white = J10
orange = J8
red = J9
• Connect the plug connections on the primary side to the
noise filter
• Fit PC board (point 1.5.2)
• Fix the transformer connectors with cable ties.
• Attach cable loom for power supply.
• Attach cable clip.
• Connect push button box to the board.
• Fill chamber with distilled water up to the mark and fit cover.
• Fit nebuliser chamber.
• Switch on device.
• Adjust the device following the setting instructions.
• Remove push button box and housing cover.
• Fit housing cover. (see point 1.3)
• Check electrical safety according to VDE 0751 or IEC601-1
• Trial run.
1.11 Change control board
• Carefully separate ribbon cable between the control board
and the main board at connections J1 of the control board
and J7 of the main board.
• Pull the connectors for them gently upwards by 2-3 mm.
• Peel off front foil carefully.
• Loosen Phillips screws and remove control board.
• Fit new control board and screw in place.
• Stick on new front foil accurately.
• Using the push connectors, attach ribbon cable to connectors
J1 on the control board and J7 on the main plate.
• Fill chamber with distilled water up to the mark and fit cover.
• Fit nebuliser chamber.
• Switch on device.
• Adjust the device following the setting instructions.
• Fit housing cover (see point 1.3)
• Check electrical safety according to VDE 0751 or IEC601-1.
• Trial run.
