Operation
Know the Generator
Carefully read the Instruction Manual and Safety Rules
before operating the generator. SAVE THIS MANUAL
FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
Become familiar with locations of all components.
1. 120 Volt AC, 20 Amp GFCI Duplex Outlet – Supplies elec-
trical power for the operation of 120 Volt AC, up to 20 Amp,
single-phase, 60 Hz, electrical lighting, appliance, tool and
motor loads. It also provides protection with an integral
Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, complete with a press to
TEST and RESET button (NEMA 5-20R).
2. OFF/RUN/CHOKE Dial – Controls the ON/OFF functions,
choke and fuel valve operation.
3. Eco Mode Switch – Automatically adjusts the engine
speed to save fuel and reduce sound emissions.
4. Circuit Breaker – If the generator outlet is overloaded or an
external short circuit occurs, the circuit breaker will trip.
5. Parallel Ports – For output power up to 3400 running
Watts, two inverters can operate in parallel using Parallel Kit
(optional).
6. Grounding Lug – Ground the generator to an approved
earth ground here. See

7. 1.5A, 5VDC USB Port – Allows charging of compatible
electronic devices.
8. 12 DC V-Outlet (battery charger) – This receptacle can
charge a 12 Volt DC automotive or utility style storage bat-
tery.
This receptacle cannot charge 6 Volt DC
batteries and cannot be used to crank an
engine having a discharged battery. See Charging a 12
VDC Battery before attempting to charge a battery.
9. Low Oil Warning – Illuminates when oil level is below safe
operating level.
10. Overload Warning – Indicates system overload.
11. AC Power Light – Indicates output from generator.
12. Carrying Handle – For easy portability.
13. Fuel Tank Vent – Verify fuel cap vent is set to ON for oper-
ation, and OFF for transportation and storage.
14. Fuel Cap – Fuel fill location.
15. Recoil Starter – Use to start engine manually.
16. Spark Arrestor – Traps flammable debris that may cause
fire.
17. Muffler – Quiets the engine.
18. Service Door – Remove to perform maintenance on the
engine.
19. Spark Plug Cover – Remove to service spark plug.
20. CO Protect – Carbon monoxide automatic shut down sys-
tem notifications.
