What to do if DG Flugzeugbau Aircrafts experience sudden power loss at full throttle?
    • L
      Lisa HarmonAug 1, 2025
If you experience a sudden power loss at full throttle, the ECU RPM sensor or its wiring, or the injection nozzles or their wiring may be defective. Switch over to the emergency system. If this doesn’t help, check pistons and cylinders for seizing marks.

Why is my DG Flugzeugbau Aircrafts engine becoming too hot?
    • W
      Walter RodriguezAug 7, 2025
The engine may be overheating because fuel lines are clogged, fuel filters are dirty, the cooling system is defective, or the spark plugs are defective. Test the coolant pump.

How to troubleshoot if DG Flugzeugbau Aircrafts engine doesn't reach ground test RPM?
    • W
      William ChaseAug 12, 2025
If the engine doesn't reach ground test RPM, the following could be the cause: 1. Dirt in the fuel filter (replace or clean the filter). 2. Throttle butterfly valves don't open fully (lubricate the Bowden cable or replace it if bent). 3. Fuel lines clogged or kinked. Fuel filter clogged. Fuel pump defective. Check fuel pressure. 4. Air intake filter clogged. 5. EGT (exhaust gas temperature) too low. The adjustment must be done in the ECU and can only be performed by a service station trained and approved by DG Flugzeugbau.

What to do if automatic retraction doesn't work in DG Flugzeugbau DG-1001M?
    • M
      Michelle PearsonAug 16, 2025
If the automatic retraction isn't working, the propeller sensor (proximity switch) at the upper drive belt pulley or its wiring could be defective. In case of loose contacts at the control unit, or broken wire or short circuit in the switch, the control unit switches over the retraction to the manual system and the DEI-NT displays the failure message “Prop.Sensor”.

What to do if the starter motor doesn't work in DG Flugzeugbau DG-1001M?
    • N
      Nicole CardenasAug 21, 2025
If the starter motor isn't working, the limit switch powerplant extended may not work, or the starter motor or its wiring or control unit may be defective. Charge the battery. Follow the emergency procedure.

Why extension and retraction doesn't work in DG Flugzeugbau DG-1001M?
    • M
      Micheal BrownAug 27, 2025
Extension and retraction may not be working because the spindle drive motor, the brake of this motor, the DEI-NT, the control unit, or the wiring could be defective.
