3.4.3 Notification
Remote Notify: The system can notify an alarm message to the IP address of ACS (Advanced Client Software) over the network.
Choose from a selection of different kinds of alarms by pressing [ADD] button: Sensor, Motion Detection, Disk Full, Admin PW
Changed, S.M.A.R.T, System Start, Log In/Out, Recording Failure, and Video Loss.
E-Mail Notify: The system can send notification to an Email address, Advanced Client Software, or Central Management Software
over the network.
Choose from a selection of different kinds of alarms by pressing [ADD] button. Sensor, Motion Detection, Disk Full, Admin PW
Changed, Video Loss, and Power On/Off. Can generate alarms by checking [USE TLS], users can use a public email address such as
Yahoo, Google, Hotmail accounts. Type DVR name in the [DVR Name] box. The DVR Name will appear in the email so that users can
recognize which DVR sent the e-mail.
Configuration’s first priority is always given to [RECORD SETUP] of the [RECORD] menu. Thus, [RECORD SETUP] needs
to be set, for the system to send alarm message or email notifications.
If user sets “Continuous” for [SCHEDULE] of the [RECORD] menu and checks the [ALL] box in [NOTIFCATION], the
system will not send alarm messages. [SCHEDULE] has to be set as “C+M”, “M+S”, or C+M+S”, for [NOTIFICAION] to
work properly.
