Notes on MIL-STD-810G, waterproof
and dustproof, and washing

slot cover are firmly closed. In addition, the product can be
washed with household hand soaps

The product has shock resistance, vibration resistance, and
temperature durability that meet the MIL-SPEC

set forth by
the U.S. Department of Defense. (Confirmed by our in-house
testing)
*1 IPX5 equivalent means that the product will maintain its operability as a
phone even if it is sprayed with water from a 6.3 mm diameter nozzle at
a distance of about 3 meters for more than 3 minutes at a rate of about
12.5 liters per minute from any direction.
*2 IPX8 equivalent means that the product will maintain its operability as
a phone with no water getting inside the product even if it is gently
submerged in a tank of still tap water at room temperature to a depth of
1.5 meter for about 30 minutes.
*3 IP5X equivalent means that the product will securely maintain its
operability as a phone even after it has been placed in an apparatus with
grit and dust of diameters of 75 μm or less and shaken for 8 hours.
*4 At Kyocera, we perform our own testing using Lion Corporations キレ
イキレイ 泡ハンドソープ (Kirei-Kirei Bubble Hand Soap) assuming that
the phone is washed once a day and used for about two years (as of
November 2015).

Please note that the hand soap manufacturers are not involved in the
testing and cannot guarantee, or be held liable for, the accuracy of the
test results.

Shock (Drop) Tested by dropping from approximately 1.22 m height
in 26 directions onto laminated wood (lauan)
Immersion Tested by immersing into water at an approximately
depth of 1. 5 m for 30 minutes
Vibration Tested by vibrating for 3 hours (1 hour for 3
directions/20 -2,000 Hz)

We determined the environments where the product can work
and its capabilities under our test conditions. Therefore, we
cannot guarantee that the product will operate properly under
all possible conditions during actual use. Also, we cannot
guarantee that the product will never break or malfunction.
Malfunctions determined to be caused by mishandling by the
customer are not covered by the warranty.
Before using the product, thoroughly read "Important items
to remember before use" and "Tips for comfortable use" to
ensure correct use. Failure to follow the contents described
in these sections may cause intrusion of water, sand or
other foreign material, resulting in overheating, ignition,
electric shock, injury or a fault.
