Troubleshooting
WARNING: There are no user serviceable parts inside the heater. Any servicing other than cleaning of
the heater should be performed by an authorized service representative.
PROBLEM
CAUSE SOLUTION
Pilot or main burner will not
light
Insufcient gas Rectify gas supply
Igniter not sparking
Replace battery
Repair lead, electrode, or ignitor
Air in gas line Purge gas line
Blockage in gas line Trace back and clear
Main burner will not light fully
Insufcient gas Rectify gas supply
Poor gas supply Trace supply back to source, clear where necessary
Gas control inoperative Inspect valve, rectify
Flame is yellow
Check gas pressure Adjust as required
Check injector Clean if necessary
Check venturi for dust Clean if necessary
Check burner ports for
blockage
Clean if necessary
