Why is there no hot water from my Dimplex SCxn150d Water Heater?
    • D
      Debra EscobarAug 4, 2025
Several factors could be the reason for no hot water. It could be due to the timer/programmer not being set correctly, so ensure that it is properly configured. Another reason may be a malfunction in the auxiliary heating, in which case you should consult the auxiliary heating system instructions. There might be a direct heating malfunction, so call a qualified person to check the immersion heater. It's also possible that the auxiliary/direct heating high limit thermostat has tripped; in this case, reset the limit thermostat(s).

What to do if there is no water from hot water taps of Dimplex SCxn150d?
    • A
      Amanda ReyesAug 8, 2025
If there's no water coming from the hot water taps, the stop valve might be closed, so open it. Another potential issue is a blocked strainer, in which case you should turn off the water supply, clean the strainer, and then re-commission the system. Also, check if the pressure reducing valve is fitted against the flow; if so, re-fit it with the arrow showing in the direction of the flow.

Why Dimplex SCxn150d has continuous discharge?
    • H
      howardrobertAug 12, 2025
A continuous discharge could be due to a pressure reducing valve not working correctly; check the pressure after the valve and replace it if it's faulty. It may also be that the pressure relief or T&P valve isn't seating correctly; manually lift the valve once or twice to clear any debris, and if that doesn't work, replace it. Lastly, it could be a malfunction of the high limit thermostat or appliance, so check the function of the thermostats and appliances.

What to do if Dimplex SCxn150d has intermittent water discharge through tundish on warm-up?
    • M
      Mary EverettAug 17, 2025
An intermittent water discharge through the tundish during warm-up could mean the bubble is depleted. Refer to the commissioning instructions for creating a bubble. Alternatively, the expansion vessel might have lost its charge; check the expansion vessel (see commissioning/maintenance), and top it up or replace it as needed.

Why is there hot water from the cold tap of Dimplex Water Heater?
    • T
      Teresa FranklinAug 20, 2025
If you're getting hot water from the cold tap, it could be because the hot pipe work is routed adjacent to the cold pipe work; in this case, insulate the hot pipe work or re-route it. Another possibility is a leaking seal in the mixer tap, so replace the seals in the mixer tap.
