Module programming
Refer to “LED diagnostics and troubleshooting” for more information and for troubleshooting purposes.
IMPORTANT!Before programming your module, you must first check if your vehicle is equipped with an OEM remote starter
and disable it. If the vehicle is equipped with an OEM remote starter, whether Active or Inactive, it must be temporarily
disabled or permanently disconnected depending on the vehicle. Please refer to the "OEM remote starter information" section
of the guide for additional details.
Note: In some cases, the module will program to the vehicle even if equipped with an OEM starter, but will prevent the
aftermarket remote start from functioning properly.
For Security-Only and Convenience-Only programming, see next sections.

Ensure vehicle is in a safe location, and cannot move forward during programming. For
vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, make sure the gearshift lever is in the neutral
position.

DS3+: Connect the 12-pin main power harness to the DS3+ module FIRST.
Wait until the LED turns ON solid red before proceeding to the next step.
DS4+: Connect the 12-pin main power harness to the DS4+ module FIRST.
The LED will turn ON solid blue for 1 second to confirm Bluetooth communication.
Wait until the LED turns ON solid red before proceeding to the next step.

Connect the remaining harnesses to the module.

Press the Push-to-Start (PTS) button twice (2x) to turn the ignition ON.
The LED turns on solid orange.

Press the PTS button once more to turn the ignition OFF, then twice to turn it back ON.
The LED turns ON solid green for 3 seconds then shuts OFF.
If the module flashes orange, your vehicle is equipped with a factory remote starter. See "Pre-
installation and application warnings".

Press the PTS button one time (1x)to turn the ignition OFF.

Pair remotes (if applicable).

documentation, which can be found inside the product packaging of the complete system or
on www.directechs.com.*

DATA/Hardwired Tach Learning: When using Data Tach, it is recommended to follow the
Tach Learning procedure. However, when using a Hardwired Tach, the procedure is
mandatory.
