Load
1. Ensure that ROPS is locked in the upright position
2. Fasten and adjust seat belt.
3. Start tractor. See page 50 for proper start-up procedures.
4. Raise trencher boom, but keep it low.
5. Fully raise or remove plow blade.
6. Release parking brake.
7. Slowly drive tractor onto trailer.
8. Position tractor on trailer deck for proper weight distribution.
9. Engage parking brake.
10. Lower attachments to trailer bed and turn tractor off. See page 52 for proper shutdown procedures.
11. Engage frame lock.
12. Attach chains to tractor and attachments where tie-down decals are located. See page 60.
Crushing weight. If load falls or moves it could kill or crush you. Use
proper procedures and equipment or stay away.
NOTICE:
• Attach trailer to tow vehicle before loading or unloading.
• Load and unload trailer on level ground.
• Turn off ignition. Set parking brake.
• Verify that trailer wheels are blocked.
• Incorrect loading can cause trailer swaying.
• Ten to fifteen percent of total vehicle weight (equipment plus trailer) must be on tongue to help
prevent trailer sway.
Rollover possible. If machine rolls over, you could be thrown from seat
and killed or crushed. Wear seat belt.
