Roll-Over Protective Structure
Roll-Over Protective Structure
The 420sx is equipped with a foldable roll-over protective structure (ROPS). ROPS are effective in
reducing injuries during overturns.
For normal operation, keep the ROPS in the upright position and fasten the seat belt.
Operate with the ROPS folded down only when driving under an obstruction.
• When the ROPS is in the down position, drive with extreme caution on level ground.
• DO NOT fasten the seat belt when the ROPS is in the folded position.
• Return the ROPS to the upright position after passing the obstruction.
To lower ROPS crossbar:
1. Loosen knob (3).
2. Remove keeper pins (1) and retainer pins (2).
3. Lower crossbar of ROPS onto stops.
4. Install retainer pins and keeper pins.
5. Tighten knob (3).
To raise ROPS crossbar to the operating position,
reverse the above procedure.
