Operation
CMW
1. Adjust throttle to low idle.
2. Lower backfill blade to ground.
3. Move attachment speed/direction control to desired speed. SAW WILL TURN.
4. Increase engine speed to full throttle.
5. Slowly lower saw to trench depth.
6. Release parking brake and verify parking brake indicator is off.
7. Raise backfill blade.
8. Push ground drive control forward to trenching speed.
9. When trench is complete, adjust throttle to low idle.
10. Raise saw.
11. As saw clears top of trench, move attachment speed/direction control to neutral.
12. Swivel seat to the drive position.
13. Drive a short distance away from work site.
14. Shut down tractor. See page 62.
15. Wash bits and mounting blocks with high pressure water before parking unit overnight.
IMPORTANT:
• For cruise control operation, see page 98.
• Lower saw into softer material then move into harder or abrasive material. For example,
lower saw into dirt at shoulder before cutting across road.
• If a curved trench must be cut, make a series of straight cuts.
