Before re-installing the cyl i nder head cover, o il the rock er pin and
rocker end face as well as the rod e nd pie ce .

ft er finis hing the assemb ling , check that the cylinder h ea d gas-
ket and the ca ps of roc\ housings are fi tted correctly.
Before fitting the nut secur ing the ex hau st pip e, lubricate the
threaded part of the cylinder h ead wit h g raph ite grease .

Removal and Installation of the Cylinder
To remove the cylinde r, do the following:
remove t he cvlin der head;
rem ove tile c)· lind er;
r emove the cylinder gasket;
clea n, wash out and exam ine the cy lind er. If n ecessa ry, re pa ir
the n·lin cl e r.
Pi·ior to in st alling the cy lind er in pla ce, ar rang e th e ring s on th e
j; i ston so that th eir ends arc set apart ai an a ngl e of 120° to on E:
anot her, lubricate the piston face (working s uria ce) and its s kirt
wi th engine oil.
Re-install the cy lind er in rever se order. Wh en fitting the cylinder
on the piston, lhe pi sto n rings must be pre li minarily compressed h:>
mea ns of an applian ce PH -4697 ( Fi g. 4).
Rem ova l and Installation of the Piston and Piston Rings
To remove the piston and th e pi sto n rings, proceed as follo ws :
mark the pi ston;
remove lhe lo ck ing ring s of the piston pin;
fit an app l iance DP-1 365 on the piston an d press o ut the piston
pin (fig. 5);
