Prior

Check all
the
parts,
especial
ly
mating
surfaces,
for
gene
ral
con-
dition.
In
order
to
determine
whet
her
th
e
cra
nk
shaft
is
good
fo
r
fur-
th
er
usage,
measure
the
fol l
owing:
wear
of
the
bushes
of
connecting
rod
small
ends;
wear
of the
cranks
h
aft
bushings
and
crankpins;
run-out
of
cra
nksh
aft
jou
rn
als with r
espect
to one
anot
her.
Measure
the
wear
of
the
connecting
rod
small
end
bush
wit
h the
aid
of a telescope int
erna
l
gauge
. If
the
amount
of
wear
exceeds
the
permissible
value, do the following:

the

bush
by
means
of a
mandrel
DP-111
6,
us
ing
a
hand
press,
an
d
pr
ess
in a new bush;
drill
2.5
mm
dia.
holes
in
the
bush for lubri
cation
of
the
pi
ston
pin
through
the
openings
in
the
connecting
rod
sma
ll
end,
ca
ulk
the
bush in
th
e connecting
rod
smal
l
end
and
perform
the
reaming
by
means
of a r
eame
r A-628;
measure
the
act
ual
size
of
the
hole, mark it acco
rdin
g
to
Table
5
and
select
a piston pin of a
su
itable colour.

the

of a

rometer

uge,
and

the
connect
ing
rod bus
hing-

eans
of
a
micrometer
gauge
wi
th
a spherical end piece. The run-ou.t
of
the
cranks

aft
journals
wit
h
respect
to
one
another
should be
mea-
su
r
ed
at
the
ce
ntr
es
with
an
indicating
gauge.
The run-
out
mu
st
not
be
greater
than
0.03 mm.
After
checking, r
e-asse
mbl
e
the
cra
nk
shaft
and
con
n
ecting
rods.
Cylinder

Measure
the
internal
diameter
of
the
cylinder
at
five zon
