5. Whentheenginestarts,returnthechokeleverto
the open position. Continue warm-up operation for 2 to
3 minutes.
NOTE: If the engine res and stops, return the
choke lever to the open position and pull the
starter handle several times to start the engine
again.
NOTE: If the operator keeps pulling the starter
handle several times with the choke lever left in
the “CLOSE” position, the engine may be difcult
to start because of ooding of the fuel. In case of
ooding,removethesparkplugandpullthehandle
severaltimesrapidlytodischargeanyexcessfuel.
Dry the spark plug electrode.
When the engine is warm (warm
start)
CAUTION: Be careful not to burn your hand.
1. Placetheengineonaatsurface.
2. Pushtheprimerpumpseveraltimes.
3. Besurethatthechokeleverisintheopen
position.
4. Pullthestarterhandlermly.
NOTE:Ifitisdifculttostarttheengine,openthe
throttlebyabout1/3.Payattentiontothecutterblade
which may rotate.
Stopping the engine
CAUTION: Be sure that the cutting tool
comes to complete stop. The cutting tool may coast
after the engine stops.
Release the throttle to idle the engine. Then press the
stop button.

Attaching/detaching the shoulder
harness

WARNING: Be extremely careful to maintain
control of the machine when detaching the shoul-
der harness.
CAUTION: Before operation, adjust the
shoulder harness according to the user's size to
prevent fatigue.
CAUTION: Be careful not to trap clothing in
the buckle.
CAUTION: Be sure that the machine is
held securely by the shoulder harness before
operation.
There are two types of shoulder harness; backpack type
and strap type.
Backpack type
1. Put on the shoulder harness and fasten the
buckle.
