NOTE: When the nylon cord becomes shorter, pass
the end of the nylon cord through another eyelet to
adjustthecordlength.
Storage
WARNING: When draining the fuel, stop
the engine and wait for the engine to cool down.
Failuretodosomaycauseburnsorare.
CAUTION: When you store the machine for
a long time, drain all fuel from the fuel tank and
carburetor, and keep it in a dry, clean location.
CAUTION: To avoid injuries and accidents,
pay full attention to how the machine is stored in
order to prevent it from falling.
To store the machine, perform the following procedures.
1. Empty the fuel tank completely. If there are any
foreignmaterialsremaininginthefueltank,remove
them completely.
2. Pulloutthefuellterfromtherellportusinga
wire.
3. Push the primer pump until the fuel is drained from
thefuellter.Alsodrainthefuelenteringthefueltank.
4. Resetthelteronthefueltankandsecurely
tighten the fuel tank cap.
5. Start the engine and run it until it stops.
6. Removethesparkpluganddripseveraldropsof
engine oil through the spark plug hole.
7. Gently pull the starter handle so that the engine
oilwillspreadovertheengineandtheninsertthespark
plug.
8. Attachthecovertothemetalblade.
9. Storethemachinesothatitisinalevelposition.
If this is not possible, place the machine so that the
engine is below the cutting tool. Otherwise, engine oil
may leak from inside.
10. Keep the drained fuel in a special container in a
well-ventilated,shadedlocation.
NOTICE: When using the machine after long-
term storage, be sure to replace the engine oil
before starting up the engine. Engine oil will deteri-
orate when the engine is kept out of operation.
