CAUTION! Risk of overheating
Ensure that the fan coil is at least 3… 4 cm away from the wall to allow the ambient air to circulate.
Ensure that the flow of the return air grille to the intake side of the fan coil is not obstructed by any
objects.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Install the fan coil only in the position specified in these instructions.
Ensure that the specified installation position is accepted by the shipyard.
Install the fan coils on solid mounts.
Connect the fan coil to a suitable wall socket.
If it is necessary to add another cable for the length, ensure that the original connection is main-
tained.
Avoid incorrect wiring to prevent short circuits.
Ensure that there are no heat sources in the vicinity of the temperature controller.
Ensure that the pipes, air chambers, connections, and branches are insulated. The insulation must
reach completely to the walls of the fan coil.
NOTE
ALU series only: Do not reduce the cross section of the fan coil (see Fan coil dimensions on
page30).
AP and TWIN series only: Do not use the fan coil as a built-in device.
Installation location
Install the fan coil in an accessible location for operation and maintenance.
Install the fan coil so that the filter is easily accessible.
Ensure that the fan coil is not affected by heat sources.
Notes on installation
The piping should be as short as possible.
Ensure that the ducts and hoses are sealed.
Use only grilles with the specified size (see Grille dimensions on page33).
Ensure that the air is distributed without blockages.
Ensure that the air chambers are sealed.
Follow the prescribed placements of the individual components.
Install in accordance with the ABYC E-11 AC and DC Electrical Systems on Boats, the National Electrical Code
NFPA 70, or the Canadian Electrical Code, and any applicable local codes.
Check if additional national installation requirements may apply.
