- Lamp on
when the amount of soot in DPF reaches 80% of its capacity.
- Lamp blinks when the amount of soot in DPF reaches 100% of its capacity.
- Lamp blink + MIL+ output decrease (50%) when the amount of soot in DPF
reaches 120% of its capacity.
z DPF regeneration process
There are 2 kinds of regeneration ; active regeneration and forced regeneration.
Active regeneration initiates when the amount of soot in DPF is below 80% of its
capacity ; however, when the amount of soot exceeds 80%, driver has to start the
forced regeneration process by himself.
If the amount of soot exceeds 120%, the caution lamp turns on and the engine
power output falls below 50%. Driver then needs to call for service
.
- Soot in DPF below 80% : active regeneration
- Soot in DPF below 100% : forced regeneration
- Soot in DPF below 120% : forced regeneration
- Soot in DPF above 120% : unable to initiate regeneration, need to call service
agents
