5. The engine revolution will increase up to 1,400 rpm (depends on the model
and type of vehicle operating) and starts the regeneration process.
6. The regeneration lamp and HEST lamp turn on as the process begins, and
the process takes approximately 20 minutes.
7. The engine revolution drops to idle.
8. The regeneration lamp and HEST lamp turn off.
9. Turn off the regeneration switch.
* If the driver has to stop the regeneration process due to emergency, the
safety lever should be pulled up.
However, stopping regeneration in the middle of its operation can affect
DPF regeneration negatively. Please, choose a safe place and finish the
20 minute process.
z Removal
Temperature sensor and differential pressure sensor on DPF should be removed
and checked for damage and rust. DPF must be handled with care to avoid
damage.
1) Check for damage and rust on DPF’s front and back.
2) Check for soot on the back side of DPF. If black material or soot is seen or
found when wiping it with cotton or a piece of paper, the DPF should be
checked by service personnel for further diagnosis
.
