    Maria CordovaAug 19, 2025
Why is my Doran 7000XL Scales reading bouncing?
    • G
      Glenn DavisAug 19, 2025
If your Doran scale's readings are unstable or fluctuating, it might be due to air currents or vibrations. To stabilize the reading, try increasing the Digital Averaging setting.

    Abigail RossAug 21, 2025
What to do if Doran 7000XL will not come to zero?
    • A
      Amanda JohnsonAug 21, 2025
If your Doran scale doesn't return to zero when the ZERO button is pressed, ensure the scale is stable (the "MOT" annunciator is off). If excessive motion is a problem, activate the latching POd Avg C32 print feature or lengthen the filter time. If the scale is stable, but it still doesn't work, it may be a problem with the touch-panel or main board.

How to check if Doran Scales weight readings are correct?
    • B
      Blake NavarroAug 25, 2025
If your Doran scale's weight readings seem incorrect, verify its accuracy using a test weight. If necessary, recalibrate the scale.

Why does my Doran 7000XL Scales drift off of zero?
    • A
      Anthony RodriguezAug 26, 2025
If your Doran scale drifts off zero, it may be caused by air currents or vibration. To compensate, try setting the AZT aperture to a wider setting.
  • M
    Manuel DuarteAug 27, 2025
What to do if Doran Scales overloads early?
    • J
      Jeffrey HernandezAug 28, 2025
If your Doran scale overloads early, it's possible that the scale is being shock-loaded, causing the load cell to shift. Ensure all four corner overload stops are properly set, if present. To check the stops, take the platter off the scale, invert it and place it back on the spider. With 1/2 of the scale's capacity in test weights concentrated over a corner of the platform, there should be approximately 1/32" of clearance between the stop and the bottom of the spider. Check all four corners, then recalibrate the scale.

What to do if my Doran Scales show "grs-oL" Gross overload?
    • L
      loweroyAug 29, 2025
The Doran scale is in gross overload. This means the load exceeds the scale's ratings, which might damage it. You should immediately remove the excess weight.

What does "ovr-Ld" mean on my Doran 7000XL Scales?
    • S
      Shirley ThompsonSep 1, 2025
The Doran scale is overloaded. The load on the platform is exceeding its capacity by more than 103%. Remove the excess weight.

    Jesus WatsonSep 2, 2025
What does "SU 0 E" Startup zero error mean on my Doran Scales?
    • J
      johngonzalezSep 2, 2025
The scale was not stable, or a weight in excess of 1.9% of full load was present on the platter when the scale started. Remove the weight and wait; the Doran scale will zero once it becomes stable.
  • C
    Clinton ThompsonSep 4, 2025
What to do if my Doran Scales will not come to zero?
    • D
      Dillon SmithSep 4, 2025
If the Doran scale will not come to zero when the ZERO button is pressed, ensure the scale is stable (the "MOT" annunciator is off). If excessive motion is a problem, activate the latching print feature (POd) or lengthen the filter time (Av A1). If the scale is stable, the scale may be set to the Canadian Legal for Trade (4% zero bandwidth).
  • J
    Jason FordSep 7, 2025
Why is the reading bouncing on my Doran 7000XL Scales?
    • B
      Barbara JonesSep 7, 2025
If your Doran scale reading is bouncing or "flighty", check for air currents and/or vibration around the scale. If that's the cause, you may need to set the Digital Averaging to a higher setting to stabilize the reading.
