• Make sure your appearance is in normal conditions when registering
your face, such as wearing glasses, hats, masks, beards, or heavy
makeup.
• Make sure that you are in a well-lit area and that the camera lens is
clean.
• Make sure that the picture is not blurry for better match results.
Register a face image for the first time
1. Tap Set Advanced settings Security Face unlock.
2. Enter your pattern, PIN or password if needed.
If you don’t already have screen lock method, such as Pattern, PIN or
Password, then you need to select Face unlock + pattern, Face un-
lock + PIN or Face unlock + password.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the face registration by
positioning your face inside the detection area on the screen.
4. Tap Done when ready.
Note!
Please be aware that if you use face unlock to unlock your device, sign in
to apps, and confirm payments:
• Looking at the phone can unlock it when you don’t intend to.
• Your phone can be unlocked by someone else if it’s held up to your
face, even if your eyes are closed.
• Your phone can be unlocked by someone who looks a lot like you.
Delete face unlock
1. Tap Set Advanced settings Security Face unlock.
2. Enter your pattern, PIN or password.
3. Tap Delete face data to permanently delete your face unlock data
and confirm with Delete. After removal, you will need your PIN, pat-
tern, or password to unlock your phone, sign in to apps, and confirm
payments.
