Description of Equipment or Protective System: 
 
General - The ROM III is a tank truck / trailer mounted On Board Monitoring (OBM) system 
providing intrinsically safe connections for sensors mounted in the top and bottom of each 
tank compartment. 
The ROM III monitor detects and communicates the sensor status and 
overall unit’s “permissive to load” (the tanker) status to a loading rack monitor via its socket 
outputs.  The ROM III is powered by connection to the truck battery.  The Model #1910A ROM 
Terminator is used to terminate the unused sensor input circuits
