Battery test
Performing the battery test:
Prerequisite: The batteries must be fully charged.
1. Disconnect the device from the mains power supply. The Power failure alarm
will be displayed.
2. Operate the device for 30 minutes in the volume-controlled ventilation mode.
Use the following settings for this:
VT = 500 mL
–RR = 10/min
I:E = 1:1.5
PEEP = 5
FG flow = 10 L/min
If the device does not display any of the Battery failure, Battery charge low or
Battery charge very low alarms during these 30 minutes, the test has been
passed.
3. Connect the mains power supply.

1) If the device is connected to the mains power supply without interruption while switched on,
the additional battery test is not necessary.
