The following section has been changed:
Battery supply
If the battery is not sufficiently charged, it may not be possible to maintain operation
for the required period if the mains power supply fails. As a result, the patient could
be put at risk.
► Before first operation or after storage, charge the battery for at least 8 hours.
► Avoid short charge and discharge cycles.
► When the device is switched on, do not disconnect it from the mains power
supply.
► When the device is powered by the internal battery while switched on, ensure
the functional integrity of the battery by performing a battery test at regular
intervals. For further information see: "Inspection", page 8.
