2) 998 Move the fast idle lever (1) to (B) (fig. 35).
3) Check that the stop switch (3, fig. 36) is positioned to
(RUN), then press the fast idle button (4).
Let the engine start without using the throttle control.
Important
Never operate the electric start button more than 5
seconds at a time. If needed, allow 10 seconds before
attempting to restart the engine.
4) 748/748S Turn the twistgrip (2, fig. 34) clockwise
(slow down), the button (1) will automatically disable.
4) 998 Move the fast idle lever (1) to its vertical position
(A) (fig. 35).
Important
Do not rev up the engine when it is cold. Allow
some time for oil to reach all points that need lubricating.
