Cleaning and changing air filters (fig. 44)
Note
To make the procedure clearer, complete air box is
shown in the exploded view (fig. 44). Remove parts
indicated in the following description only.
The air box is accessible after removing the body panels
and the headlamp fairing (see pages 40 and 41).
Undo the eight fastening screws of the outer cover (1,
fig. 43). Remove the cover but leave it hanging from the
turn indicator cable. Do not remove the reduction
element (4, 998 only) from its seat.
