1. Switching on the lamp
Press the ON/OFF button on the upper edge of the lamp to switch on the
“Daylight”.
Note
The brightness of the tubes may be visibly different when switched on. The
tubes develop their full luminosity after a couple of minutes.
2. Taking the light
Now sit down in front of the light or as close to it as comfortable, between 20
cm and 50 cm. You can go about your normal activities while using it. You can
read, write, make telephone calls, etc.
When using the lamp, try to maintain the recommended distance of 20 - 50
cm between your face and the lamp.
Usage guidelines are as follows:
In effect, the closer you are to the source of light, the less time you need to
use it.
Note
- Do not look directly into the light continuously! Some eye pain or mild
headaches may be experienced during initial sessions but these should pass.
If in doubt just lower your treatment times until comfortable again.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended in the duration.
- Do not touch the device in the duration. Let the device cool down for at least

10 minutes before reposition it.
- Do not block vent holes in the duration.
3. Enjoying light over longer periods
During the darkest part of the year, repeat the treatment for at least 7
consecutive days, or for longer, depending on your individual requirements.
4. Switching off the “Daylight”
Press the ON/OFF button on the upper edge of the lamp to switch off the
“Daylight”. Pull the mains plug from the socket.

Replacing the lamp:
In the event that the lights are faulty, or when they come to end of their life, the
two light tubes can be replaced. NOTE: Do not replace the lamp tubes which
are not provided by the supplier. To do so, proceed as follows:
Warning
- Always unplug the “Daylight” and let it cool off.
- For safety reasons, do not remove any components or screws other than
thosespeciedbelow.
