How to troubleshoot no air flow in my DV Systems D20?
    • M
      Madison WagnerAug 10, 2025
If you're experiencing no or insufficient airflow in your DV Systems Air Compressor, start by checking the following: the air filter may be dirty and needs replacement, the oil separator may be blocked and needs replacement, or the intake valve may be faulty and needs repair or replacement. Air leaks in the system, incorrectly set pressure limits, an open blowdown solenoid valve, or broken/slipping belts can also be causes. Check the unit and system for air leaks, adjust the pressure settings, check the wiring to the solenoid valve (replace if necessary), and check the belt tension and condition.

Why is my DV Systems D20 overheating?
    • H
      heathergibsonAug 17, 2025
Several factors can cause your DV Systems Air Compressor to overheat. High ambient temperature or blocked air circulation around the unit can be culprits, so check cooling air circulation in and around the unit. A dirty heat exchanger or low oil level can also lead to overheating; clean the heat exchanger and add oil as required. Ensure you're using the factory-recommended compressor oil. Other potential causes include a faulty thermo valve, a blocked oil filter, a faulty temperature sensor (check the wiring and replace if necessary), a faulty thermostat (replace it), pressure that is too high (lower the pressure setting), or an open/off cabinet door/panel (secure the door/panel to the unit).

What to do if my DV Systems D20 starts slowly?
    • J
      James StephensAug 26, 2025
If your DV Systems Air Compressor starts slowly, the intake valve may not be functioning properly, so check its operation and repair or replace as required. Low ambient temperature can also cause slow starts; stop and restart once the ambient temperature increases. Other potential causes include the minimum pressure valve leaking back to the air end (repair or replace), the minimum pressure valve setting being too high (adjust to 65 psi), or using the wrong type of oil (change to factory-recommended oil).

What to do if my DV Systems D20 won't start?
    • J
      John LeblancNov 1, 2025
If your DV Systems Air Compressor won't start, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the unit is receiving power by checking the disconnect or breaker and any primary and secondary fuses. Verify that all wiring connections are secure and correctly placed according to the wiring schematic. Also, check if the Emergency Stop Button is pressed; release it by twisting and pulling out. Another reason may be that the Motor Overload has tripped, in that case, reset the overload. Insufficient airflow, high ambient temperature or dirty Heat Exchanger could cause the compressor to overheat and stop, so check cooling air circulation, ambient temperature and clean the Heat Exchanger. Other potential issues include a faulty Temperature Switch, low oil level, faulty Solenoid Valve, leaking Se...
