Inflation System
The CO
2
inflation system is activated by pulling the red handled pull lanyard
attached to the inflation assembly. See Figure 6.
C. Oral Inflation System
NOTE: The oral inflation system is used as a backup system in case of CO
2
inflation system failure or for topping off the flotation chamber as needed
due to gradual loss of inflation.
(1) The buoyancy cell can be inflated by blowing air by mouth into the
inflation tube through the oral valve. See Figure 7.
(2) The flotation chamber can be deflated by gently pressing the oral valve
inward to release gas from the buoyancy cell.
D. Harness Assembly
In addition to the respective donning procedures described in Section 4.A. use of
the harness assemblies is to engage or disengage the plastic buckle as desired
and adjusting the fit of the harness assembly as required.
E. Light System Assembly
The light system assembly is automatically activated when the battery is
immersed in water.
