C. UXF-35 Life Preserver
The UXF-35 series life preserver is designed with an open area collar to be
placed over the head and onto neck and shoulder area, so that the vest rest on
the chest of the wearer. The vest is secured to the wearer using a harness
strap. Inflation is accomplished by either CO
2
or oral inflation. Each vest is
equipped with a light system assembly.
NOTE: All UXF-35 life preservers with manufacture date of 7/09 and
subsequent are equipped with an RFID label. The RFID label has
product information printed and programmed on it with the following
information:

Fabric Date of Manufacture
NOTE: See Check & Assembly sections for reprogramming.
(1) Structure
The UXF-35 series life preserver has a single buoyancy cell joined to a
harness waist strap. The buoyancy cell is made of flame resistant
urethane coated nylon material and heat-sealed seams. Cell color is
orange for crewmembers or yellow for non-crew members. The cell is
equipped with a CO
2
inflation system and an oral inflation tube.
(2) Inflation System
The UXF-35 life preserver inflation system consists of a CO
2
and oral
inflation assembles.
