4.2 Wiring with external battery modular (EBM)
External battery modular (EBM) is UPS’s optional modular, it can provide more DC
power for UPS.
1. Be sure to disconnect the battery cable from the EBM before connecting
the battery terminals of the UPS
2. Make sure the UPS is completely off before connecting or disconnecting
the EBM.
3. Before connecting the EBM, make sure that the number of battery
sections and capacity are the same as LCD setting.
4. Do not reverse the polarity of the external battery.
EBM wiring schematic diagram is shown below:

• Battery cable installation sequence: connect UPS first, then connect EBM!

Default battery number of the UPS is set with:
9SX15-20KPM: 32pcs, 16 pcs for
Battery+/Battery- (EBM-1/EBM-2)

Battery+/Battery- (EBM-1/EBM-2)

The UPS can expand up to 6 strings EBM, each string contains 2
EBM(batt+/batt-).
• The external battery interface of the UPS only needs to remove the 'top
cover of the TB' during the wiring, no need to remove the 'TB box'。
