18.3 Digital input wiring
Four digital inputs can be wired to connector X1 and four digital outputs can
be wired to connector X2.
The digital input, as defined in the EN 61131-2 type 1 with a 5-ms input delay,
is particularly suitable for connecting electronic switching devices, including
relay contacts, pushbuttons, switches, etc. It is used to convert a signal with
two possible states into a one-bit binary number.
