8.3 Digital input wiring
The digital input, as defined in the EN 61131-2 type 1 with a 5-ms input delay,
is particularly suitable for connecting electronic switching devices, including
relay contacts, pushbuttons, switches, etc. It is used to convert a signal with
two possible states into a one-bit binary number.
