Do you have a question about the ebm-papst W1G300-BB19-11 and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the W1G300-BB19-11 device, an energy-saving motor/fan (ESM) designed as a built-in component for conveying air. It is intended for use in stationary systems and for performing all maintenance work. The device is designed to convey air at an ambient air pressure between 800 mbar and 1050 mbar, within a permitted ambient temperature range of -30 °C to 50 °C. It must be operated with all protective devices in place and in accordance with the operating instructions.
The W1G300-BB19-11 is a single-phase AC motor/fan with a speed setting input (230 V) and an ESM+ expandable plug-in module. It features a soft start function and thermal overload protection for the motor. The device is designed for continuous operation (S1 mode) and has two speed levels (n1 and n2), which can be selected by an external switch (S) that connects the speed selection input to either L1 or N for "closed" (n2) or leaves it "open" (n1).
Integrated protective features cause the motor to switch off automatically in the event of faults such as rotor position detection error, blocked rotor, or motor overload. For a rotor position detection error, an automatic restart follows. If the rotor is blocked, the motor restarts automatically after the blockage is removed. In case of motor overload, the device restarts automatically after cooling off.
The device is a built-in component and requires proper safeguarding by the owner, including a fixed protective device and guard grill. It must not be operated without these safety features. The fan must be securely positioned during installation, and all fastening screws must be tightened. It should not be subjected to force or excessive vibration from other parts of the installation. If connected to air ducts, the connection should be isolated from vibration using compensators or similar elements.
Electrical connection requires checking that the nameplate information matches connection data and that the power supply matches the device voltage. Only cables designed for the current level indicated on the nameplate should be used, with the protective earth having a cross-section equal to or greater than the phase conductor. The device must only be connected to circuits that can be switched off with an all-pole disconnection switch.
Cable routing is critical to prevent water ingress. For fans installed lying flat, the cable should be routed in a U-shaped loop. For fans installed upright, cables must always be routed downward.
Improper use, which is prohibited and hazardous, includes:
Regular checks for proper operation and soiling are necessary to ensure a long service life. The frequency of checks should be adapted to the degree of soiling.
