8. Turn choke control knob (D)
clockwise to (OPEN choke
position).
9. Pull starter handle (E) to start
the engine.
◆ After starting the engine, immediately squeeze and then
release throttle trigger to release fast idle throttle latch,
otherwise severe brake damage may occur.
◆ Never use fast idle throttle latch for cutting.
◆ Use the fast idle throttle latch only in starting.
◆ Do not increase engine speed while chain brake (A) is
locked. Severe brake damage will result.
10. When engine starts,
immediately squeeze and
release throttle trigger (F) to
disengage throttle latch (G) and
return engine to idle. Pull front
hand guard (A) towards the
operator immediately. (Chain
brake unlocked position).
Start Warm Engine
Make sure bar and chain are free from any obstruction when
chain saw is started.
Do not increase engine speed while chain brake (A) is locked.
Severe brake damage will result.
The saw chain should not move at idle, otherwise serious injury
can occur.
