RUNNING
• Whenenginestarts,keepidlingforafew
minutes.
• Setthebrakeleverintheunlockedposition
before starting to cut.
• Pullthrottletriggergraduallyandincrease
revolution of the engine.
• Thechainstartsrunningwhentheengine
reaches 4400 r/min approximately.
• Conrmproperaccelerationandlubricationof
chain and bar.
• Donotruntheengineathighspeed
unnecessarily.
• Besurethatsawchainstopsmovingwhen
throttle trigger is released.
STOPPING
• Releasethrottletriggerandplaceignitionswitch
in STOP position.
NOTICE
If engine does not stop, turn choke control knob
counterclockwise to stop engine.
Return the unit to your authorized ECHO dealer
to check and repair stop switch before starting
the engine again.
CHECKING CHAIN TENSION
• Chaintensionshouldbecheckedfrequently
during work and corrected as necessary.
• Tensionthechainastightaspossible,butsoit
can still be pulled easily along the bar by hand.
CAUTION
Do not operate with a loose chain.
CHAIN LUBRICATION TEST
Hold the chain just above a dry surface and open
the throttle to half speed for 30 seconds.
A thin line of “thrown” oil should be seen on the
dry surface.
