      If your Echo Trimmer's engine cranks but doesn't start, several issues could be the cause. First, ensure the switch is turned to the 'ON' position. A too rich fuel mixture can prevent starting, so open the choke. The spark plug may be defective, covered with carbon, or fouled with fuel; in these cases, clean, replace, or adjust the spark gap to .65mm (0.026 in.). The fuel strainer or fuel line might be clogged, requiring cleaning or replacement. For carburetor, electrical, or interlock switch problems, it's best to consult your Echo dealer.

      If your Echo Trimmer runs but dies or doesn't accelerate properly, it could be due to several reasons. A dirty air filter, fuel filter, or plugged fuel vent can cause these issues; clean or replace them as needed. Also, a dirty or worn spark plug can be the culprit, so clean and adjust or replace it. Improper carburetor adjustment may also be the cause – in that case, adjust it. Additionally, check if the cooling system is dirty or plugged and clean it. Finally, a plugged spark arrestor screen should be replaced.
