Why is my Echo HC-2020 Trimmer engine hard to start, or not starting at all?

If your Echo Trimmer engine is hard to start or doesn't start, possible causes include a fuel strainer or fuel line obstruction (clean or replace), a fuel mixture that is too rich (open choke, clean or replace air filter, adjust carburetor), the stop switch being OFF or an electrical/inter-lock switch problem (turn switch to ON), or an incorrect spark plug gap, a carbon-covered plug, a fuel-fouled plug, or a defective plug (adjust to 0.65mm or 0.026 in., clean or replace plug). For carburetor or electrical problems, it is recommended to see your dealer.
