Before you start
Connect the throttle cable
1. Connect 2 ignition leads from throttle cable tubing to 2 igni-
tion leads on engine.
2. Place the connected ignition lead connectors in the fan cover
pocket.
3. Loosen the air cleaner cover knob and remove the air clean-
er cover.
4. Place throttle cable into adjustment fixture and install wire
end into large carburettor throttle swivel hole.
5. Fit the vertical portion of the clip into the vertical slot to hold
down the wire end.
6. The throttle lever free play should be approximately 4-6 mm.
7. Turn the adjustment nut in or out as required to obtain proper
free play 4-6 mm.
8. Make sure that the throttle lever operates smoothly without
binding.
9. Check throttle for freedom of movement and that wide open
throttle / low idle extremes are adjusted properly.
10. Tighten locknut.
11. Install air cleaner cover.
