OPERATION
- Provide all operators of this equipment with the Operator's Manual
and instructions for safe operation.
- Check unit for loose nuts, bolts and screws daily.
- Recoil starter: Use short pulls - only 1/2-2/3 of rope length for
starting. Do not allow the rope to snap back in. Always hold the unit
firmly.
- Rotate spring loaded throttle handle downward to a comfortable
operating position (PB-600 only).
STARTING COLD ENGINE
(PB-600)
1A. Move throttle lever (A) to START/IDLE DETENT position.
(PB-601)
1B. Move throttle lever (A) forward to idle position. Slide stop switch
(B) forward to run position.
2. Close Choke - Cold Start.
Move choke (C) to "Cold Start" position.
3. Primer Bulb -Prime.
Pump primer bulb (D) 15 times. Fuel will be visible and flow
freely in the clear fuel tank return line.
4. Pull recoil starter handle (E) and engine should start.
5. Move choke (C) to run position and if necessary, restart engine.
NOTE
Allow engine to warm up before use.
