Why does my Echo Power Pruner PPT-266H Pole Saw engine crank but not start?
- DDeborah PenaAug 11, 2025
If your Echo Pole Saw engine cranks but struggles to start or doesn't start at all, there could be several reasons. There might be no fuel reaching the carburetor, in which case you should clean or replace it. The fuel strainer or fuel line could be clogged, requiring cleaning or replacement as well. If the muffler is wet with fuel, open the choke. If the fuel mixture is too rich, clean or replace the air filter or adjust the carburetor. Ensure the switch is set to the 'ON' position for spark. If there's still no spark, the spark plug may need cleaning, replacement or adjustment to 0.65mm (0.026in.).
