What to do if my Echo POWER PRUNER PPT-265 engine cranks but starts hard or doesn't start at all?
    • G
      Gabriel AllenJul 25, 2025
If your Echo Pole Saw engine cranks but struggles to start, several factors could be at play. There might be no fuel reaching the carburetor due to a clogged fuel strainer or fuel line, so clean or replace these parts. If the muffler is wet with fuel, open the choke, and clean or replace the air filter, then adjust the carburetor. If there's no spark, ensure the switch is set to the ON position. Also, adjust the spark plug to .65mm (0.026in.) or clean or replace it.

Why does my Echo Pole Saw engine run, but die or not accelerate properly?

      Wendy PollardAug 11, 2025
Your Echo Pole Saw might be experiencing issues due to several reasons. A dirty air filter can cause this, so try cleaning or replacing it. Also, replace the fuel filter if it's dirty. A plugged fuel vent can also be the culprit, so clean or replace it. Check the spark plug; if it's dirty or worn, clean and adjust it, or replace it altogether. The engine might not be adjusted properly, so adjust it. Ensure the cooling system is clean and not plugged. Finally, a plugged spark arrestor screen could be the issue, so replace it.
