Why is my Echo Pole Saw engine cranking but not starting?
- SStephen TateAug 3, 2025
If your Echo Pole Saw engine cranks but struggles to start or doesn't start at all, it could be due to several reasons. The fuel strainer or fuel line might be clogged, or there might be an issue with the carburetor. Try cleaning or replacing these parts. Also, the fuel mixture may be too rich, in that case open the choke, clean or replace the air filter, or adjust the carburetor. The stop switch may be off, or there could be an electrical or interlock switch problem, so ensure the switch is turned on. Finally, the spark gap could be incorrect, covered with carbon, fouled with fuel, or the plug could be defective. Adjust the spark gap to .65mm (0.026in.), clean or replace the plug, or replace the plug entirely.
