The EVERLUX LED Light Source is a medical device designed for use with all ECLERIS microscope and colposcope models, as well as in various therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. It provides cold, deep, and white light, enhancing real brightness and colors for all types of medical applications.
Function Description:
The EVERLUX functions as a light source for medical imaging and procedures. It incorporates LED technology to produce the necessary illumination for obtaining high-quality video images. The device features a universal adapter for fiber optic cables, allowing compatibility with most widely distributed fiber optic models on the market. It also includes connections for endocameras and video outputs.
A key feature is its compatibility with the Ecleris PROCAM universal endocamera. This endocamera, equipped with a 1/3" CCD sensor and integrated controls, is specifically designed for medical applications, ensuring high image quality, precision, and resolution. The endocamera enables electronic image capture, processing, and conversion into a video signal suitable for connection to external devices such as monitors, video-printers, and image capturing systems.

Usage Features:
The front panel of the EVERLUX includes an ON/OFF switch, a light intensity control (dimmer), a camera connector (video input), and a universal fiber optic cable connector. The rear panel features a power supply cable connector with a fuse holder, an Ecleris Endodigi connector (for image and video capture and other peripheral devices), an S-Video output (SVHS), and a Composite Video Output (CVBS). A standard output (normally-open) is also available for remotely operating other image capture devices like video printers.
To operate, the user connects the power supply cable, turns on the general ON/OFF switch, and then activates the LED system by turning the light intensity control clockwise. This control also regulates the light intensity. The device has an over-temperature protection system that will automatically turn off the LED system if it reaches a risky operating temperature. After use, turning off the EVERLUX helps maximize the LED system's lifetime and saves energy. If using a video camera, it connects to the video input connector, and video output can be connected to a viewing device via BNC or S-Video connectors.
Maintenance Features:
Regular maintenance is recommended to ensure optimal operation. This includes periodic cleaning of all exterior components, inspection of connections, and an annual technical inspection.
- Cleaning: Before cleaning, the power supply cable must be disconnected. External surfaces should be cleaned with a soft, wet cloth moistened with mild detergent or soap, avoiding flammable products, especially when the unit is hot. It is crucial to prevent water or humidity from accessing the equipment. No part of the device should be autoclaved, sterilized, or immersed unless specifically marked as autoclavable. Cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of accessories not provided by ECLERIS must follow their manufacturer's instructions. The light source should not be turned on for at least an hour after cleaning to prevent damage. Exterior cleaning is recommended every 15 days.
- Electrical Connections: The condition of all components and their aging process should be constantly checked for faulty, broken, or cut cables, faulty connections between cables and plugs, or oxide corrosion in connection pins.
- Fuse Change: The device uses T3AL250V fuses. Spare fuses are recommended to avoid downtime. To change a fuse, disconnect the power supply cable, remove the small rectangular plastic holder under the power supply cable connector using a screwdriver, replace the burnt fuse with a new one of the same specified rating, and then push the fuse lid back until it clicks.
- Troubleshooting: A comprehensive troubleshooting guide is provided for common issues such as the equipment not turning on, incorrect light intensity, high temperature, or no image appearing on the monitor. Solutions range from checking cable connections and fuses to cleaning ventilation grids and contacting technical service.
- Technical Service: Repairs and maintenance must be performed exclusively by ECLERIS trained and qualified personnel in authorized installations. ECLERIS will provide necessary information (circuits, component lists, calibration instructions) upon request to authorized technical personnel. For repairs, the product should be sent with detailed information including the owner's name and address, contact person and phone number, product serial number, and problem description, preferably in its original packaging to prevent damage during transportation.
- Warranty: The EVERLUX comes with a one-year warranty from the purchase invoice date, covering manufacturing defects and ensuring proper functioning under adequate use. The warranty is void if damages result from incorrect use, negligence, improper cleaning or storage, or repairs by unauthorized personnel. Damages from inadequate power supplies, faulty cables and plugs, or incorrect power sources are excluded from the warranty. Shipping costs for warranty service are the client's responsibility.
